Updated Nissan Micra gets fresh look, more tech and 'New' name

Updated Nissan Micra gets fresh look, more tech and 'New' name

A few months ago, Nissan gave the Micra (which is not for US consumption) a substantial styling update that included new front and rear fascias, and stuffed more technology into the interior, such as USB ports and auxiliary inputs for audio and a new media touchscreen. Though it's still based on the same fourth-generation architecture, Nissan now calls it the New Micra.

Discuss the LG G2 over at AndroidForums.com. It's G2 day, it's G2 day. Well… it is for all but Sprint. While the Now Network isn't even starting pre-sales for LG's latest smartphone until October 11th, folks on T-Mobile, AT&T, and Verizon can already purchase the phone (online, and in-store in some cases) starting today.

Radical RXC will turn your commute into a track day (video)

Radical RXC will turn your commute into a track day (video)

It's been well over a year since we first heard about the Radical RXC, a street-legal, Le Mans-style prototype put together by a brand that's renowned for its nimble track-day weapons. We've reported on the RXC intermittently, although that's hardly down to a lack of desire for the new car. With a red example arriving at the Frankfurt Motor Show, it seemed only natural to pop over and have a look. It looks like a racecar, which shouldn't come as a surprise considering the folks that made it.

2014 Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan is a tall order

2014 Volkswagen Golf Sportsvan is a tall order

VW is using the Frankfurt Motor Show to trot out a concept version of the next Golf Plus. Dropping the 'Plus' with this next iteration, the compact mini-minvan will henceforth be known as the Golf Sportsvan, and this concept is about as close to production as concepts get. With a length that slots neatly between that of the shorter Golf hatchback and larger Golf Estate (wagon) in Europe, the Sportsvan concept combines those sharper, sportier styling elements we've seen debut across the entire line of new seventh-generaiton Golfs with a more upright greenhouse.

Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans (video)

Ford S-Max Concept proves minivans aren't always minivans (video)

Ford's latest don't-call-it-a-minivan is called the S-Max Concept, and it's a looker. As you can see, the conceptual overgrown hatch makes good use of Ford's latest design language, especially at the very front of the S-Max, which bears a striking resemblance to production models that include the Focus, C-Max and Fusion. Powering the S-Max Concept is a 1.5-liter EcoBoost engine, and while Ford doesn't actually list power figures for the concept, previous estimates put the mill at 133 kW of power (about 178 horsepower) and 240 Nm of torque (about 177 pound-feet).
