Its participation in the World Cities Summit (WCS) cements its commitment to be the No. 1 Green Innovation Company in the electronics industry by 2018. This vision is achieved through green innovation and the development of total energy solutions.

. Apple (AAPL) manufacturing partner Foxconn (2354) is planning a billion-dollar factory located in Indonesia, Games Industry International reported on Wednesday. The company said it was drawn to the country over Malaysia and Vietnam due to its high rate of economic growth. Foxconn also noted that the region is “sorely in need” of formal jobs, highlighting that its plant would create more than one million jobs with an average pay of $100 a month. “We are looking forward to establish a new manufacturing plant in Indonesia, although nothing is finalised yet,” a Foxconn representative said in a statement.

Automotive News reports Nissan may turn to the company's social media followers to help plan future products. Erich Marx, director of interactive and social media marketing, thinks sites like Pintrest and Facebook could be used as specialized focus groups to help answer questions that the automaker's product planners and managers face. Nissan already plans to ask its followers what sorts of vehicles and technologies they expect to see on the market in the next 10 years.
