UK: White Samsung Galaxy Nexus now on pre-order on contract, free from £30.64 per month

Earlier this month, the white Samsung Galaxy Nexus became official. It's expected to land in the UK at the beginning of February, and so far we've seen it priced in its SIM-free and unlocked form at around £500. That's anything but cheap, so if you don't fancy shelling out that much cash upfront, you may be wondering what monthly contracts you'll be able to get the white Galaxy Nexus on. Well, wonder no more, for online retailer BuyMobilePhones has started taking pre-orders for the white Samsung Galaxy Nexus, with a myriad of operator contracts on offer. For now, it's only available on plans from O2, Orange, and T-Mobile.

Glass keyboard concept spotted at CES 2012

[CES 2012] The glass keyboard idea that appeared on Kickstarter. Well, it managed to garner $143,583 out of the requested $50,000, so to see this Bluetooth enabled peripheral sitting on its metal base at CES is definitely something. Being able to get up close and personal with what is deemed as the “Multi-touch Keyboard,” this unique device can also be connected to a computer via USB if you do not feel like using Bluetooth at that particular moment. Those who own the high end luxury brands would say otherwise, claiming that you “merely look after it for the next generation.” Well, for many of us, a basic, functional timepiece is good enough, and it is more often than not worn to accessorize that suit and tie rather than to tell the time since your smartphone already does that for you (and have been doing so for umpteenth years). Vincent Perriard & Co's HYT H1 is definitely a future forward timepiece, where this conceptual watch will start from $45,000 onwards, where it will debut at Baselworld 2012.

. One of the advantages of owning an Android device is the ability to install a custom ROM and making your device perfect for your tastes. You can't talk about custom ROMs without mentioning the king of them all, CyanogenMod, which has just surpassed 1 million downloads. Created by Steve “Cyanogen” Kondik, the CyanogenMod team offers up-to-date custom ROMs that extend a phone's capabilities with added features and utilities. Additionally, CM team member Koushik Dutta has been dabbling into the idea of creating an app store exclusively for root apps.

Motorola DROID 4 to be $250 on Two-Year Contract?

The good boys over at Droid-Life have gotten their hands on another MAP list that shows us the pricing of several new devices. While the LG Spectrum and the DROID RAZR MAXX have already gotten official pricing we still have yet to hear anything from Big Red on the DROID 4. It appears it’ll be $250, though, according to the latest leak. It’s a great price for a high-end 4G device as those usually tend to go for $300 at launch. We won’t complain, though. Not at all.

I love music.  My first big purchase after getting my first job out of college was a stereo system.  After I bought my small house, I got rid of my stereo with the big floor speakers that could literally blow out a match, and I just don't listen as much.  When I try listening with earphones, I usually find them too uncomfortable to listen for more than a few minutes.  I miss music, and I'm always trying to find something that makes it enjoyable again.  That's why I'm always interested in trying new headphones and earphones.  I asked Julie if I could try the ms01 monitorseries earphones when they were offered by thinksound for review.

Next-Gen Hyundai Santa Fe will debut in Big Apple

Motor Trend reports Hyundai has confirmed that its next-generation Santa Fe will bow at the 2012 New York Auto Show. The third-generation Santa Fe is expected to hit dealer lots by the end of the year as a 2013 model. Hyundai hasn't disclosed exactly what we can expect from the vehicle when it arrives, though spy shots suggest a vehicle more in-line with the automaker's current design language.

Panasonic is planning some new fast zooms for its Micro Four Thirds cameras. Photo DP Review. This is what I'm talking about. Proper, wide-aperture zooms for Micro Four Thirds cameras, coming (hopefully) soon from Panasonic. Micro Four Thirds cameras are great and all, and there are some excellent prime lenses out there, but fast zooms are still somewhat the preserve of the bigger SLRs.

Not anymore. Panasonic's two mockups show a 12-35mm Æ'2.8 and a 35-100mm Æ'2.8. In 35mm terms, that covers every focal length from 24-200, more than enough for most everyday photography.

. Toshiba had a ton of products on display this year at the annual Consumer Electronics Show. The booth was chocked full of stunning new technology and we were blown away by several of the 3D products on display. Toshiba had its new line of Qosmio laptops with glasses-free 3D screens, glasses-free 3D TVs that were more impressive than the models we saw last year, and its Thrive and Excite X10 tablets were on display as well. We even had a chance to play a 3D game on a huge HDTV that was hooked up to a Qosmio laptop, which was a ton of fun.

Apple certainly places a lot of priority on education just like how the tiger moms do in order to eke out the very best in kids, and this trend does not look as though it is about to stop anytime soon after Apple announced an education event that will be happening at New York's famous Guggenheim Museum on January 19th later this month. Cupertino's latest efforts will include introducing an iMac that costs a dollar under the magical $1,000 mark, targeting only the educational market after August this year.

Elizabeth told us about the Tech Lighting Railtones wireless speaker system last year, and they looked very interesting.  However, they would only work with a low-voltage rail lighting system.  This set of two AudioBulb Wireless Speaker Light Bulbs can be screwed into typical lighting fixtures, and they operate on 2.4GHz signals to minimize interference.  They come with a transmitter (with a remote control) that has a dock for iPhones and iPods and an auxiliary input for use with any other audio device with a 3.5mm output.  The speakers can be used up to 100 feet away from the dock.

Rapper Ludacris, through his audio company Soul Electronics, has unveiled its first non-headphone device at CES 2012. The name “Party in a Box” may sound funny for a speaker box, but it packs some serious specs. Party in a Box is large enough to dock an iPad and can be connected by both AirPlay and Bluetooth. Apart from streaming audio wirelessly from any modern mobile device, this dock also comes with 5.8GHz two-way transceiver that allows you to play tunes over multiple Party in a Boxes or even other speakers.

Samsung's got a 55-inch Super OLED TV of its own, and it's coming in the second half of 2012

Samsung has revealed over at CES that it'll be matching rival LG's 55-inch OLED TV… when a 55-inch OLED TV of its own. Not surprisingly, the outfit's trumpeting its terrific color reproduction, the virtual absence of motion blur and face recognition. Sadly, there's not even a model number to mark down, and a price estimate should be even harder to find. It is, however, expected to ship in the latter half of 2012.

[CES 2012] Yesterday HP launched its super sleek looking ultrabook - the HP ENVY 14 Spectre, and while we got some photographs of the device for you, some of you might have wanted more coverage of the device. Well, if you're one of those craving for more of the Spectre we've got some video footage with an HP representative giving us a rundown of the ultrabook at CES. We get to see the impressive looking glass lid and well crafted body, as well as a demo of some of its features. The proximity sensor didn't seem to work at the end, but let's hope it won't be a issue when it finally goes on sale.

[CES 2012] Yesterday, Panasonic announced their HX-WA2 waterproof camcorder, and what better way to demonstrate it than to drop a couple of them into a bubbling aquarium and make sure that it still runs just fine. Of course, the aquarium at Panasonic's booth on the showfloor is nowhere near the 3 meter depth limit that the Panasonic HX-WA2 waterproof camcorder is capable of, but it just goes to show that it can last the distance.

Airbag recall forces Honda past Toyota in total recalls for 2012

Honda has surpassed Toyota for the largest number of recalled vehicles in 2011. Wards Auto reports that Honda expanded an airbag recall to encompass a total of 2.5 million million vehicles last year, pushing the total number of recalled units to 3.9 million vehicles over 17 campaigns. Previous estimates put Toyota at the head of the recall pile with 13 campaigns covering 3.5 million vehicles. The airbag recall covers some of the most popular Honda models, including Civic, Civic Hybrid and Accord sedans manufactured between 2001 and 2004, as well as the CR-V and Pilot.

[CES 2012] Remember in November last year, Microsoft announced that it would be developing a new version of the Kinect that's been designed for computers running Windows. Well, we finally have a release date for when the gadget will arrive. Today at Microsoft's final CES Keynote, the company announced that the Kinect for Windows will be available starting on February 1st, and will have a suggested retail price of $249. 12 countries will get the new Kinect first - the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and Spain and United Kingdom.

AT&T has confirmed the availability of the Nokia Lumia 900. The smartphone comes jam packed with a 4.3-inch ClearBlack AMOLED touchscreen display with a 480×800 pixel resolution, 4G LTE support, an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Vuzix introduces SMART Glasses Tech at CES

Next week during CES 2012, Vuzix Corporation will unveil what it calls SMART Glasses technology. It promises to be thinner than the typical head mounted display, fitting into the temples and lenses of a conventional pair of eyewear. It will also pipe in more than just “wearable TV,” bringing interactive content served up on Internet-connected SMART devices literally right to your face. “This amazing new technology starts with a compact display engine capable of hi contrast and brightness for outdoor use,” the company said during the show.

Just as expected, Nokia used their CES 2012 press conference to announce their latest Windows Phone smartphone – the Nokia Lumia 900. Coming with LTE connectivity and a 4.3Â" ClearBlack AMOLED, the Lumia 900 is going to be an AT&T exclusive at launch. According to Nokia, the Lumia 900 is the first real WP smartphone designed for the US market.

ASUS announces higher resolution Transformer Prime and the Eee Pad Memo

. Even though the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime was only released in December, the company has announced a new higher resolution model. The older Prime - again, the unit that was available in the middle of December - featured a 1280 x 800 resolution with a 1.3-megapixel front facing camera, and was plagued with Wi-Fi and GPS issues due to a metallic back-plate. ASUS' newer model (TF700T) will have a higher resolution 1920 x 1200 Super IPS+ display and feature a new 2-megapixel front facing camera for HD video-chatting. The backside of the device has been redesigned, which should enhance the Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS performance.

Samsung picked the CES 2012 show in Las Vegas as an opportune time to announce about the Stateside-arrival of the LTE-capable Galaxy Note. The smartphone-tablet hybrid will be distributed exclusively on AT&T, which has been beefing up its 4G LTE service. The gigantic phone/ tiny tablet (however you wanna call it) features a 5.3-inch Super AMOLED Plus display with 800 x 1,280 resolutin, a 1.4GHz dual-core processor, an 8-megapixel camera at the back, full-HD video recording and playback, 16GB expandable internal memory, an S-pen stylus, and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.

Motorola Droid 4 Announced

Motorola and Verizon Wireless have just announced the newest version of their epic line of Droid phones: the Motorola Droid 4. The duo are claiming the device is the thinnest 4G LTE QWERTY Smartphone on the planet. If that’s a tongue twister you can’t tie your noodle around, let me put it in more basic terms: the Droid 4 is only half an inch thick and has a full 5-row slide-out keyboard and 4G connectivity. Pretty impressive.
