It may very well be that you've never heard of boutique carmaker Lucra, nor its rather incredible LC470 roadster, but after watching this recent Motor Trend video detailing the car, you'll probably want to learn more. Green Goblin styling to the side for a moment, a curb weight of less than 2,000 pounds and output of more than 600 horsepower are both impressive stats. Perhaps more impressive is the sound that the blistering car makes when driven in anger.

Nissan gets racy at Tokyo Auto Salon (video)

Nissan is headed to this year's Tokyo Auto Salon with a spate of custom hardware, including tweaked versions of the company's Juke, Note, Fairlady Z and GT-R. Even the humble Leaf EV and hefty NV350 have received a little love from designers and engineers. The Juke Nismo will share the stage with creations like the Leaf Nismo Performance Package and the GT-R Nismo GT3. That last beast debuted in 2012 and boasts more engine output and enhanced aerodynamics while still complying with FIA GT3 regulations.
But our favorite of the bunch has to be the NV350 Caravan Rider Transporter.

Verizon Wireless Sells Record-Breaking 9.8m Smartphones in Q4 2012

Yesterday, AT&T decided to gloat a little in regards to its record-breaking Q4 in 2012 as the company sold 10m smartphones and averaging 110,000 smartphone sales in a day. Seeing how the company has been considered the worst-rated wireless carrier in the U.S. for a number of years now, you would think the first place wireless carrier, Verizon Wireless, would have an even more record-breaking Q4 2012. Right.

Be a big walking carpet

Be a big walking carpet

Another day, another awesome Star Wars item.  Today's offering is a hooded, 100% polyester robe that suspiciously resembles everyone's favorite Wookie.  Although I'm fairly sure it's not a licensed LucasFilms (Disney?) product, it looks pretty accurate, complete with Chewie's bandolier stitched across the chest (front AND back) and large pocket to mimic Chewie's pouch.  A sash is included to close and tie the robe at the waist.

Vizio 2013 Sound Bar

Vizio 2013 Sound Bar

Vizio has made a successful entry in the sound bar market and it intends to continue this trend for 2013. I have to admit the ratio between price and sound quality is very good. At CES, the company has laid out its course of action for 2013: first of all, all the sound bars will have a unified design. This is a change from the 2012 editions, and a welcome one in my opinion.

Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment

Jeep Wrangler gets the wide-track treatment

When we read the tip about a Gulf-state diplomat in Rabat, Morocco who had supposedly "merged two Jeep Wranglers," we figured the two off-roaders were somehow linked front-to-back. Oh no. As you can see in the image above, taken from video of that vehicle actually traveling down the road and needing more than one lane to do it, the two Jeeps were put together side-by-side. The seriously widebody truck is said to have six wheels, one at each corner and two in the middle.

Aquapac: Simple Waterproof Housing for iPad

Aquapac: Simple Waterproof Housing for iPad

Meets the international IPX8 standard, the Aquapac waterproof case allows you to take your iPad down 5m underwater for half an hour without risk. I have not tested the case in such environment, and I don't need to do that. Taking it to the pool for capturing moments without risk of water damage is enough for me. But I get a little problem here, the Aquapac offers clear view from the front side but rather dark from the other side.

Tegra 4 Announced By NVIDIA

Tegra 4 Announced By NVIDIA

[CES 2013] What comes after Tegra 3. Why, the simple answer would be one of the world's worst kept secrets, Tegra 4. Just what kind of processing muscle does the Tegra 4 pack. For starters, there are 72 GPU cores, a quartet of Cortex A15 CPU cores, and a 4G LTE modem, how about that. Smartphones and tablets that intend to pack Tegra 4 underneath the hood, you might just want to beef up on your battery lifespan. Just sayin'.

Tegra 4 will continue to retain the low-power “5th” core that is used for low-power apps such as ebooks and music playback.

Portable USB LED Light review

Portable USB LED Light review

Sometimes you just need a little bit of light.  This portable USB light from IPEVO is a convenient, not to mention inexpensive, addition to a laptop bag. It comes in two pieces–the LED tube and gooseneck flexible cord.  When assembled, the light is roughly 20″.

Assembling is just a matter of inserting the plug on the cable end into the receiver at the base of the light.  It snaps into place once fully inserted.

The light is ready to go and can be powered by any standard USB port.
