Nokia Rumored To Drop Samsung As Component Supplier

Nokia Rumored To Drop Samsung As Component Supplier

Developers are working on games… but the current selection is very limited. It has long been rumored that Apple is slowly trying to reduce its dependence on Samsung as a component supplier due to the high tensions between both companies over alleged patent infringements. However it looks like Apple isn't the only company looking to move away from Samsung. According a report from Apple Insider, it seems that Nokia is looking to drop Samsung as their component supplier due to allegations of theft.

Cadillac CTS-V gets Stealth Blue and Silver Frost limited edition models

Cadillac CTS-V gets Stealth Blue and Silver Frost limited edition models

A little more than a year and a half ago, former weekend editor Alex Nunez and I were talking about how sweet it would be for Cadillac to offer a CTS-V in the Corvette's Supersonic Blue paint, and as if General Motors eavesdropped on our conversation, this showed up. And while the Stealth Blue car you see here isn't an exact duplicate of the hot-looking sedan GM showed off in prototype form, it's really close. And really sweet. New for 2013, the Cadillac CTS range gets two new colorful editions, starting with the Stealth Blue package available on the CTS-V (in sedan, coupe and wagon bodystyles) as well as the naturally aspirated CTS coupe.

Black HTC One Press Shot Gets Attention

Black HTC One Press Shot Gets Attention

We are getting very close to the HTC One, aka HTC M7, launch next week, and so far, the images that have leaked look quite interesting, including this black HTC One photo. They show a (seemingly) slim and nice design in either black or silver color. The design is minimalist and the build-quality seems even higher than what HTC did for the HTC One X, which we reviewed last year. On the photo you can see HTC Sense 5, which is quite a departure (design-wise) from previous versions.

Instagram Competitor Molome Will Be Arriving On Windows Phone 8

Instagram Competitor Molome Will Be Arriving On Windows Phone 8

There are probably a few Windows Phone users who are bummed that Instagram is missing on their phones. The good news is that if you absolutely must take grunge-y photos of your meals, perhaps an Instagram competitor might be worth taking a look at. App Molome has been confirmed by its founder (via WPCentral) to be arriving on Windows Phone 8 devices, although there is no word on when it will be available. For Symbian, Android and Blackberry users, Molome is an app you've probably heard of, but since there is Instagram for Android, Molome could be a welcome addition for Windows Phone users.

Are you the next Ford Edge? [UPDATE]

Are you the next Ford Edge? [UPDATE]

What looks to be the next Ford Edge has been leaked in an apparent corporate Powerpoint presentation deck. Despite the thumbnail image's blurry and pixelated quality, it appears as if the next generation crossover will be staying close to its current aesthetic despite an all-new front clip with redesigned grille, headlamps, and lower fascia with integrated fog lights. The upscale-minded Blue Oval CUV is due for a redesign in 2015, having just received a mid-cycle refresh for 2011.

Race Recap: 2013 Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12-Hour race a feast of water, wrecks and yellow flags

For the last two years, Audi has won what's called "The ultimate Aussie endurance race," the Bathurst 12-Hour event at Mt. Panorama, reverentially known as "The Mountain." It did so with factory-backed versions of the R8 LMS Ultra and factory-backed drivers sent over for the sole purpose of taking the checkered flag at the 3.861-mile course and then taking the silverware back to Ingolstadt. Erebus Motorsport, owned by property developer Betty Klimenko, is 18 months old.

Analysts say Honda's growing woes in Europe not just the economy

There is no denying that the European auto market is taking its lumps right now – just ask Peugeot – but Honda might be taking this downturn on the chin a little harder than some of the other Japanese automakers doing business on the continent. Automotive News Europe is reporting that things have gotten so bad for Honda that it will be cutting 800 workers from Swindon, England plant that builds the CR-V, Civic and Jazz (a.k.a. Fit). This will be the first time Honda has made such cuts in more than 20 years.

Ailing Peugeot writes-down over $5.5B in assets

As Europe's economy continues to suffer, so do automakers. One of the latest pieces of bad news comes from French carmaker Peugeot which says it will write down its assets by $5.53 billion. The figure represents almost 29-percent of the company's property, valued at $19.4 billion in June. Peugeot says it will also take a second-half charge of $325 million for "onerous contracts." Speaking of onerous, The Detroit News notes the "write-downs are more than double Peugeot's current market value." Yipes.

2014 Kia Sorento

2014 Kia Sorento

Big Changes Below, But Just A Little Off The Top. It happens all the time. Three or four years into an automobile's lifecycle, the manufacturer goes back to the drawing board, making what it hopes are vital improvements to keep its product at the top of the sales charts. It's true of the vehicle we're discussing today, the 2014 Kia Sorento, but unlike many midlife facelifts, most of what's new here can't be seen with the naked eye.

Yes, there are the normal changes to the front and rear fascias, and a few nips and tucks here and there to improve the crossover's outward appearance.

In advance of the Alfa Romeo 4C going on sale in the US for the 2014 model year, it looks like engineers are getting some time with the coupe on American soil. This new set of spy photographs was captured on Michigan roads and it happens to give us our best look yet at the Alfa's interior. The driver may have been trying to block the lens of our intrepid shooter, but we still come away from these spy shots with some interesting information about the 4C. The prototype utilizes a pushbutton transmission, with no gear lever at all.

Canon EOS M Review

Canon EOS M Review

Canon is the last "big" player to enter the compact camera system market by introducing this small EOS M camera. It is fair to say that a compact system with the EOS name was eagerly awaited with great expectations given that the EOS line of DSLR cameras from Canon have such a glorious name. The camera has arrived, and we have used it for some time. Among the selling points from Canon: the Canon EOS M shoots 1080p movies and can keep the image in focus, thanks to its continuous tracking. It has stereo microphones. Canon touts its hybrid autofocus (AF) to be fast for both still photos and video.
