Ferrari's Enzo successor laid bare with carbon fiber chassis display

Ferrari is quick to point out that while output across its lineup has jumped roughly 100 horsepower in the last four years, fuel consumption and emissions are down nearly 30 percent. Such gains in efficiency are made through a holistic approach, including engine tuning, aerodynamics, tires, and so on. A a good part of any gain in efficiency can be made through the use of exotic materials and lightweight structural components. With the F70 Enzo successor still in development, the folks from Maranelo chose Paris to display a carbon-fiber architecture, apparently for the limited-run roadcar.

Twitter CEO reveals plans for interactive tweets, content curation, reinforces belief in syndication

Twitter has ruffled a few feathers recently, so when CEO Dick Costolo took the stage at the Online News Association conference in San Francisco, he took the opportunity to put some minds at rest. First he dismissed the idea that the service would become a media company by forcing users to the site or official app for content, before reasserting his belief in syndication. Costolo then went on to imply that the reason behind the tighter (and unpopular) API controls was ensuring quality — stating that Twitter would reach its full potential now there's more control over how tweets are delivered.

If you've ever wondered just how popular the free-to-play model has become, new data from Ipsos Media CT and ISFE has suggested that free-to-play games have accounted for half of the European games market in the last 12 months, a pretty impressive figure we have to admit. According to their definition of half the market, it means that free-to-play games accounted for 50% of titles acquired during that 12 month period. For those unfamiliar with the free-to-play model, it's basically where the game itself is offered for free.

The two groups closed a 30-hour negotiating session that touched on everything from wages and benefits, to plant closings and new model manufacturing. The agreement covers around 8,200 workers currently, and GM has agreed to add or maintain 1,750 positions over the next four years. That means the automaker will postpone the consolidation of the company's Oshawa plant, where the current Chevrolet Impala is assembled.

When it comes to the release of consumer electronic devices, one can always look to history as an indicator of what is to come. Well, the Nokia Asha 306 that was announced in June earlier this year was launched not too long after that, so perhaps the same can be said for a leak of the Nokia Asha 309. The Nokia Asha 309 remains unannounced as at press time, it does seem to resemble a similar model as that of the Nokia Asha 306 on the inside, although it will most probably target different carriers.

The Chewing Gum Battery concept looks incredibly handy

Battery packs for smartphones tend to add unnecessary bulk to the device, making it thicker and heavier than it already is. Mobile chargers too can be quite bulky and heavy and do always fit into your pocket, thus requiring you to bring a bag wherever you go. However thanks to designer Ping-Yi Li, this Chewing Gum Battery concept was conceived where the battery is shaped as thin and flat as a chewing gum, just minus the sugary goodness and edible nature. As pictured in the rendering above, the Chewing Gum Battery can be slapped onto the back of our gadgets, thus giving them the extra boost in battery life.

Both medics on the battlefield as well as army doctors can be said to be professional colleagues, although it is by no means a stretch of the imagination to figure out who has the more "exciting" operation theater to work in. Medics tend to be thrown into situations where wounded soldiers require urgent and immediate attention where a trained surgeon would come in handy, and said surgeon would be able to better do his job once he has gotten hold on the background of the injury and the subsequent medical details in order to dispense with the proper care.
