AllPuter.com launches new Bluetooth sliding keyboard for Samsung Galaxy S4

The Allputer.com Bluetooth Sliding Keyboard for the Samsung Galaxy S4 effectively turns the Android smartphone into a miniature laptop complete with a QWERTY keyboard and tilting display. The input device features Bluetooth connectivity, a rubberized hardshell plastic case and a built-in lithium battery that can support 120 hours of continuously typing after 4 hours charging. This keyboard is obviously too small for real touch typing with two hands, but it seems perfect for the hunt and peck style typist who prefers a real keyboard over a virtual one.

Mazda Shakin' Racer App Gives Your Arm A Workout

[CEATEC 2013] All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy, and the folks over at Mazda have definitely realized that. Sure, they are pretty serious with their Mazda Connect system as well as Heads Up Cockpit, but there also needs to be a balance of play as well, and this comes in the form of the Shakin' Racer smartphone app. There really isn't that much to it other than the fact that the Shakin ' Racer app would make full use of the gyroscope in your mobile device to detect just how much vibration it is experiencing at the moment.

Meet the new World's Largest Dump Truck

Belaz debuted its latest dump truck last month, and the Belarusian company claims it to be the biggest in the world. The 75710 can carry a staggering 496-ton (equivalent to 450 metric tons) payload, and will be used in open mines on temporary roads. To put the size of the truck into perspective, take a look at one of its eight tires, which is twice as tall as an average-size person. Two 16-cylinder turbocharged diesel engines with a combined capacity of 130 liters power the mining truck, with help from an electromechanical transmission to put the power to the ground.

Adobe Hacked, Data Of 2.9 Million Customers Compromised

A major cyberattack on Adobe has left data of 2.9 million customers compromised, the company revealed today through a blog post. The intruders were able to gain access and run off with a large number of Adobe IDs and encrypted passwords. Adobe also says that certain information on 2.9 million customers has been compromised, this includes encrypted credit and debit card numbers, their expiration dates and customer names. In another recent attack, intruders stole source codes for a number of Adobe products, such as ColdFusion and Adobe Acrobat. The company believes that there might be a connection between these two attacks.

2013 SRT Viper suffering from sales slump?

2013 SRT Viper suffering from sales slump?

Nobody has ever accused the all-new 2013 SRT Viper of being slow, but even with the rebounding economy the high-performance coupe seems to be suffering from slow sales out of the gate. According to Automotive News, the Viper has sold 426 units since it went on sale in February with an additional 565 unsold units sitting around in dealer inventory, which shows that SRT was a little too optimistic in its initial sales expectations for the Viper.

T-Mobile offering $0 down on LG G2, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and more

T-Mobile offering $0 down on LG G2, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and more

T-Mobile is putting on a pretty sweet deal for folks who are looking for a new smartphone this October. The company is offering $0 down for those looking to buy the LG G2, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Samsung Galaxy S4, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. These premium devices would ordinarily require $100-$150 down, but getting it for $0 at the point of sale will save you a good bit of money in the short term. This does mean your monthly installments will be higher than if you were to pay a sizable down payment, but perhaps that's more attractive to a great deal of prospective customers.

US FCC shuts down amid political crisis

US FCC shuts down amid political crisis

This doesn't come as a surprise to anyone - while the US government-wide shut down continues various Federal agencies have stopped their work until the government resumes its own. The FCC or Federal Communications Commission is an example of that and currently has a statement on its website stating it will only perform "duties that are immediately necessary for the safety of life or the protection of property.". The FCC online systems will also not be available until further notice so any smartphones (or devices really) waiting for approval will just have wait until things get moving again.

BMW X4 opens up alongside its boxier brother

BMW X4 opens up alongside its boxier brother

It doesn't seem so long ago that BMW (not to mention Audi, Volvo and a handful of other European automakers) weren't in the crossover market. But it's been over a decade since BMW began producing the first-gen X5, and in the fourteen years since, the Bavarian automaker has steadily expanded its portfolio to include the X1, X3 and X6. The next to join the family will be the X4, which is essentially to the X3 what the X6 is to the X5. That is to say, basically the same vehicle, only with an (arguably) more stylish but less utile roofline.

Verizon honoring upgrades that allowed people to keep unlimited data over the weekend

You may have heard over the weekend that Verizon's website was somehow allowing people to upgrade their phones at full subsidized two-year contract pricing without losing unlimited data. It was an anomaly for sure, and it's something Verizon patched up rather quickly. Earlier reports suggested Verizon would look to yank the rug from beneath those who were lucky enough to take advantage, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Verizon has acknowledged the issue, and has come out to clearly state that they would honor the upgrades and would allow those customers to continue on with unlimited data.

Sharp Smart/Sweet Home

Sharp Smart/Sweet Home

[CEATEC 2013] It goes without saying that companies definitely want to make sure that when you purchase a particular home appliance from them, they would also hope for you to take a glance at the other consumer electronics that are on offer from them, wishing that you stick to their very own eco-system. This makes plenty of sense, so engineers for each company would do their possible best to create an "eco-system" of devices that can interact with one another, and Sharp is no different from such a line of thought, too. In fact, CEATEC 2013 saw Sharp promote their Smart/Sweet Home zone with a theoretical "smart house" setup.

Verizon was late to get to the HTC One party in the U.S., but the variant it is selling is the only one that comes with Android 4.2 pre-installed. Today, a Verizon HTC One software update has been released. Base Android OS version remains the same, don't think that Verizon has received the much awaited Android 4.3 update before its rivals. This is actually the first over-the-air update for HTC One on Verizon and it brings a few improvements. The update brings version number up to 1.10.605.10. I know that people have different ideas about how much water we should get in a day, but we can all agree that we all need to drink water.  If you're like me and forget to drink enough water during the day because you get distracted by what you're doing, you could probably need a “drinking coach”.  With the BluFit Bottle and its smartphone app, you won't ever suddenly realize that you've let yourself become parched.  The BluFit Bottle is an Indiegogo crowdfunding project for a water bottle that looks similar to others but packs some unexpected features.

Nintendo UK Planning To Raise Wii U Awareness In Tesco

Nintendo UK Planning To Raise Wii U Awareness In Tesco

The Nintendo Wii U is hardly selling like hotcakes although we're not sure why. The Wii U has plenty of fun titles, but we guess it is not seen as a "hardcore" console compared to the likes of the Xbox or PlayStation. In any case it seems that Nintendo will be attempting to create more awareness of the console and will be partnering up with UK retailer, Tesco, in an attempt to do so and address the problem of how "many people out there that don't know what this is." This is according to Nintendo UK's marketing director, Shelly Pearce, who spoke with the folks over at MCV.

iPhone 5s Paint Peeling Off Issue Reported

iPhone 5s Paint Peeling Off Issue Reported

Last year when the iPhone 5 was released, many early adopters reported that the paint was peeling off from their new iPhones. Some even found that their new smartphone came bearing scratches straight out of the box. The issue wasn't widespread, and the reports didn't come in after the initial stock had all been sold out. Apparently a similar issue has surfaced with the iPhone 5s as well, with some users complaining of iPhone 5s paint peeling off.
