i18-USB iPowerStation Smartphone/Tablet Charger review

I've always wanted a small docking station either for my iPhone or Nexus 7/Kindle Touch tablet.  I then got my hands on the i18-USB PowerStation  from i18 Technology.  The USB PowerStation is a microUSB smartphone and tablet wall charger and dock.  It's made of plastic (color choices are in white, black, or pink) and has a small green strip that is sticky, which will keep the device resting on the back of the dock and not wobble around while plugged in.  It measures 2.5" wide X 2" deep X 3.25" tall.

So a full-size Ferrari F1 car made entirely out of Lego bricks is something that's sure to catch our attention. Unveiled yesterday by Ferrari drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa in Australia ahead of the season-opening Melbourne Grand Prix, this 1:1 scale model of the team's 2011 Ferrari F150 Italia car is a highly accurate recreation of the real thing.

Next Mercedes-Benz GLK to get AMG variant? Not likely...

If you think Mercedes-Benz will slap an AMG badge on anything with wheels, think again. Word has it the German manufacturer will not offer buyers a performance version of the GLK, with Tobias Moers, director of AMG vehicle development, saying that he doesn't see a market for the car. That's not to say the picture won't change in the near future, however. According to CarAdvice.com, AMG is keeping a close eye on the arrival of the Porsche Macan.

The news of Google Reader calling it a day in a few months' time certainly proved to be quite a shock to those who did not expect such an announcement, and since then, other companies would love to take up the mantle and possibly, mindshare of those soon-to-be orphaned Google Reader users. In November 2011, Julie and I reviewed two models of the Roku 2 (see related posts for link).  I've been using my Roku 2 in my living room since then, and I had an older Roku in my bedroom.  The bedroom TV has no cable hookup, so I relied on my Roku and my Apple TV for programming.  A few weeks ago, I saw the announcement that Time Warner Cable would be making their programming available through Roku, so you could stream their live programming to a TV without needing a TWC set-top box.  This was exactly what I needed.  As soon as I saw that the TWC channel was available on Roku, I tried to install it.

The advertisement in the video above shows one determined Citroën engineer as he climbs atop the Vatican to take care of a pesky black smoke problem. Polestar says goodbye to Volvo C30 in video tribute

The Volvo C30 was put to its eternal bed a few months ago, but the tuners at Polestar have a little more eulogizing to do. The Swedish house of speed that has raced and reworked the little hatch since its introduction in 2006 wants the world to know what they've been through together, so it has encapsulated seven years of around-the-world action into three minutes and 28 seconds of track footage and champagne. We're still waiting on word of a replacement for the funny little hatch, and while we lament what could have been, the video above proves that the C30 provided plenty of thrills for those outside of the US.
