Robugtix T8 Spider Robot Kit

Robugtix T8 Spider Robot Kit

If you know anyone who happens to have arachnophobia, then you might want to tease them a little bit with the Robugtix T8, an octopod which arrives in a frighteningly realistic 3D printed exoskeleton that is sure to have them jump out of their skin. The T8 can be said to be a lifelike robot tarantula, but to procure one is not going to be cheap, since it carries an introductory sticker price of $1,350. Definitely not an impulse purchase by any means for sure. The Robugtix T8 will run on 26 Hitec HS-35HD servo motors with three in each leg, while there are extra servos which help it to wiggle its abdomen.

Mega Now An App On Google Play

Mega Now An App On Google Play

At the beginning of this year, the spiritual successor to Kim Dotcom's Megaupload, simply known as Mega, was unveiled to the masses. Of course, it has taken more than half a year for the cloud storage service that is based in New Zealand to have an official presence on the Android platform as you can now download the official Mega app from Google Play. Kim Dotcom is also pleased to announce that an iOS app is also in the pipeline, where that will be accompanied by a Windows sync client that so happens to be in the final stages of development.

Will.i.am Thinks Of SmartDog Sales This Christmas

Will.i.am Thinks Of SmartDog Sales This Christmas

A robotic dog is an idea that has been circulating around long enough, and Sony's Aibo is one of the prime examples of technology which ultimately failed simply because it is not really a necessity, not to mention the extremely prohibitive price tag that ventured near the $2,000 mark back in its day. Well, superstar singer Will.i.am thinks that the market has changed after all these years, and should be ready to welcome a new smart robotic dog this coming holiday season.

Paravelo Flying Bicycle Is Perfect For Cutting Through A Gridlock

Living in the city might be extremely enticing with all of that bright lights around you, not to mention seemingly endless entertainment options to boot, but like all other things in life, there is a flipside to it, and high stress levels tend to be associated to city dwellers. Apart from pressures at the office that will result in headaches for most folks, there is also the endless "battle" with other road users on congested roads every day when you go and return from work.

Jabra Revo Headphones review

Jabra Revo Headphones review

The name Jabra should be common to anyone who uses their smartphone as an extension of themselves. They have been making wireless headsets for years and have developed a well-deserved following. Recently, Jabra has jumped into the highly competitive headphone arena with the Vox earphones and Revo (wired and wireless) headphones. This review will cover the wired version of the Revo.
The first thing you notice about the Revo headphones is its good looks. It amazes me how some companies can make headphone design look so easy. Only when you see less-successful efforts, do you realize how difficult it is to achieve good design.

LG G2 to have 5.2-inch Full HD screen, optical image stabilization?

LG G2 to have 5.2-inch Full HD screen, optical image stabilization?

LG's upcoming flagship Android smartphone, the G2, has gotten a new round of leaked specs today. We've already seen purported pictures of the device not once, but twice already, and it's pretty clear that it will be crazy thin – and will come with the buttons on the back, not the sides (since apparently it's too thin for that). What we also knew so far, this time thanks to LG itself, is that the G2 will sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, which makes sense since that's ‘the' mobile chipset of the moment (and will power most of the flagships for the second half of the year).

Verizon's Droid RAZR HD And Droid RAZR HD MAXX To Undergo Soak Test

Heads up Verizon subscribers, if you own either the Motorola Droid RAZR HD or the Droid RAZR HD MAXX, it looks like an update will be headed your way soon. This is according to an email being sent out to participants in Motorola's Feedback program, informing them that they are welcome to participate in a soak test. Soak tests are generally the last stage where an update is being sent out to select users before making its way to the hands of the masses, assuming of course that there is nothing wrong in the update first. At this point in time we're not sure what exactly is being tested.

Motorola XT1030 And XT1080 Arrive On The FCC

Motorola has certainly got virtual tongues wagging on the Internet with the latest leaks surrounding the Moto X as well as unveiling the Droid Ultra landing page, but this does not mean that other handsets should slip through the news dragnet, don't you think so. Apparently, two mysterious devices from Motorola have appeared over at the FCC, where they carry the respective model numbers Motorola XT1030 and Motorola XT1080. These are said to be headed for Verizon Wireless over at the US, since underneath the hood, you will find the Motorola XT1030 and XT1080 to play nice with LTE bands 4 and 13, accompanied by EVDO Rev.

Bem Wireless hopes Kickstarter will help them with their Kickstand

Bem Wireless, known primarily for their wireless speakers, is branching out into mobile projectors. Their new Kickstand folding projector is seeking $100,000 funding through Kickstarter. With only 17 days left in the project, they have yet to collect 10% of that amount in pledges which is kind of a bummer, because this projector looks like a nice one. Expensive, but nice. It features an interesting folding design with a built in handle and kickstand, which gives it its name. It has WXGA 1280 X 800 widescreen resolution (720p) that will give you a 96 inch wide image when the projector is set 10 feet away from the wall/screen.

Samsung Confirms Boxee Acquisition

Samsung Confirms Boxee Acquisition

We reported earlier today on whispers coming in from various Israeli news agencies that Samsung had acquired Boxee. At that time both companies had said anything about any deal. Samsung has now confirmed to AllThingsD that it has indeed acquired Boxee. The rumors peg the price at $30 million, but Samsung didn't mention the terms in its confirmation. Unlike other corporate acquisitions, all staff at Boxee will be retained for now.

Samsung says that this acquisition of “key talents and assets” from Boxee will enable it to continue improving the overall experience across its connected devices.

A Split Personality Makes For The Best Range Rover Yet. Tough as it no doubt was to engineer the new-for-2013 Land Rover Range Rover, I'm willing to bet that the company's engineers sweated a little harder over the launch of this 2014 Range Rover Sport. After all, the Sport is Land Rover's unlikely volume leader – it accounted for nearly 38 percent of the company's US sales in 2012.

K-Array's Anakonda Speakers Are Uniquely Shaped But Pricey

Speakers come in a variety of shapes and sizes, although for the most part they come in square or rectangular shapes, although for more boutique speaker companies like Bang & Olufsen, you can expect something different, but probably something not as different as these Anakonda speakers from K-Array. Yes as you can see in the image above, those are actually a set of speakers although we guess you can't be blamed if you thought they were cables for your computer or something like that.

A couple of days ago it was rumored that the Sony PlayStation 4's release date would be shared during gamescom which will be taking place in Germany this August. As it stands the rumors are suggesting a possible November release, so if that is indeed the case, we can't say we're too surprised to learn that Microsoft could be interested in releasing their console at around the same time. According to Andrew Esposito at Pixel Enemy, he received an email from Amazon confirming his pre-order of the Xbox One console, and within the email it is stated that the estimated delivery date of the console is set for the 27th of November.

Apple Loses Its 'World's Most Respected Company' Title

A list of World's Most Respected Companies is released every year by Barron's. Apple has topped this list for three consecutive years, only to lose its title this time around. Berkshire Hathaway, Warren Buffet's company, now holds the top spot on Barron's list of most respected companies. Apple has actually slid down to third place, where it remains just ahead of Google, which is in fourth place.

Motorol DROID Ultra landing page leaks in manufacturer's website

Motorol DROID Ultra landing page leaks in manufacturer's website

Motorola seems to have inadvertently tipped the world off to another phone it's planning to bring out sometime soon. This one is being called the Motorola DROID Ultra, and aside from a name, the fact that it will be thin, available in a bunch of glossy colors, and will sport Kevlar (all things Motorola are known for), the landing page doesn't really tell us much else.  .
With the DROID moniker attached to it we imagine it's headed straight to Verizon, though that doesn't rule out a DROID-less variant for other countries.

Cheetahroid Robot Hails From South Korea

Hmmm, is it me or are we seeing more and more robots which move around on all four limbs in action. After all, there was the cheetah from Boston Dynamics and more recently, folks from Switzerland have a robot that resembles that of a cat. Well, the latest specimen of a robot that gets up and about on all fours would be the CheetahRoid that hails from South Korea, a country which is not associated with robots traditionally. The "supporting cast", or rather, creators of the Cheetaroid, happen to be a team from Sogang University's Robotic Systems Control Laboratory that is helmed by Professor Kyoungchul Kong.

Halo Warthog, Master Chief Make Appearance At Seattle Pride Parade

This past weekend, many people of the LGBT community took to the streets in major cities across the U.S. to show their pride and support for one another. Considering this past pride weekend took place days after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in favor of gay marriage, we have a feeling more people turned up for these events than they normally would based on what a huge win it was for the LGBT community.
Not only did LGBT people turn out for these pride parades, but a number of companies attended to show their support.

Instagram made photo filters popular, that's a fact. The service allowed users to easily add a wide variety of filters to the pictures they had taken or were stored on their devices. Since its launch many new services have popped up that offer similar functionality, but Instagram remains in a league of its own, not to mention the fact that Facebook bought it for a billion dollars. More often than not you'll see people posting pictures with the #nofilter hashtag, this means that the picture has not been modified in any way.

The Last Of Us Patched To Remove Phone-Sex Hotline Phone Numbers

PlayStation 3 owners have most likely been playing Naughty Dog's latest masterpiece, The Last of Us, for the past couple of weeks. But we're sure players weren't aware there was a portion of the game which accidentally links to a real-world phone-sex hotline, which the game's developer corrected in the release of its latest patch for The Last of Us. The Last of Us patch 1.02 was released over the weekend in order to address the accidental inclusion of a phone-sex hotline phone number which is pinned to one of the game's numerous bulletin boards.

vPulse In-Ear Headphones review

As I do more and more earphone and headphone reviews, I'm struck by the sheer volume of new models becoming available almost daily. Not only that, but companies that have never offered personal audio before are now jumping in big time. One such company is Velodyne. Anyone familiar with high end home audio will recognize the Velodyne brand of subwoofers. But now - you guessed it - Velodyne has entered the crowded headphone market with an impressive selection. In 2012, they released the vPulse In-Ear Headphones and followed with the vFree wireless and vTrue Studio headphones in 2013.
