Just this week, Xbox chief Don Mattrick left Microsoft in order to become the CEO of Zynga, with Steve Ballmer assuming his position for the time being until they can appoint a new head of Xbox. According to a report published by Bloomberg earlier today, Ballmer may pass the torch onto current Windows head Julie Larson-Green to become head of Microsoft's hardware division. According to a source who is aware of Microsoft's plans, Julie Larson-Green's possible role would focus on both Microsoft's Xbox consoles and Surface tablets, although the company has yet to finalize its restructuring of its senior management.
