But RIM and Microsoft (MSFT) on Tuesday signed a licensing agreement for the use of Microsoft's Extended File Allocation Table (exFAT) for use on “certain BlackBerry devices.” Microsoft describes exFAT as “a modern file system from Microsoft that facilitates large files for audiovisual media and enables seamless data portability and an easy interchange between desktop PCs and other electronic devices.” The full press release follows below.
