IEEE publishes its standard for Very High Throughput in the 60 GHz bandSanta Clara, CA January 8, 2013 The Wireless Gigabit (WiGig) Alliance, which formally contributed to the IEEE 802.11ad standard process, has heralded its publication as a critical moment in bringing a global wireless ecosystem of interoperable, high performance devices that work together seamlessly. “We congratulate IEEE and the WiGig member companies on the completion and publication of the 802.11ad standard and look forward to seeing its adoption across the industry,” said Ali Sadri, President and Chairman of the Wireless Gigabit (WiGig) Alliance.
