GM announces first front-center airbag

GM announces first front-center airbag

GM will begin equipping some of its 2013 cross-over vehicles with front center air bags that are designed to protect passengers from far-side impacts. The new air bags will be standard on the 2013 Buick Enclave and on the GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse, if they are equipped with power seats. The device is installed into the center side of the driver's seat and will, in the case of an accident, protect people from impacts on the opposite side of the car.
