One of the features of Gorilla Glass is that it's pretty darn tough. The name itself implies said toughness, but it appears that all that Gorilla Glass and kevlar on the Motorola Droid RAZR failed to survive a pocket drop on its face on concrete, while a Samsung Galaxy Nexus with its "fortified" glass survived a toss down a flight of carpeted stairs. It's a bit of an unfair comparison we know, especially since the carpeting probably managed to soften the blow, and we have no doubt that the Motorola Droid RAZR would survive the same drop too.
