Ricoh is preparing to launch a new compact superzoom camera for the mass market. Called the CX6, the camera sports a 10-megapixel back-illuminated CMOS image sensor, a 28mm wide-angle lens, a 10.7x optical zoom lens, a 3.0-inch LCD display (1.23 million dots), an SD/SDHC card slot, a USB 2.0 port, a micro HDMI port and 720p HD video recording capabilities. The CX6 will start shipping from early December for 259.99 GBP (about $411).
