It's better late than never. Datawind may have missed its April 2012 launch for the next-gen sub-$100 Android tablet, but the Aakash 2 will finally be a reality as it is released in India just in time for the country's National Education Day (November 11th). The Aakash 2 has gone a long way from its first reported specs, now running on Android 4.0.3 instead of 2.3. It packs a 7-inch touch screen, 1GHz Cortex A8 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of Flash storage, built-in WiFi, and a front-facing VGA shooter.
Another welcoming update to this device is the pricing.
