They say that there is no such thing as a free lunch in this world, but I think you can get pretty darn close with Tomb Raider: Underworld, where it is made available to the masses as a free-to-play game in a browser, all made possible thanks to Square Enix's Core Online. Of course, there is a caveat to it, and the "price" that you must pay is to have your browser's presence "invaded" by an advertisement every 20 minutes. One good thing about Core Online is this, there is no need to worry about a lousy Internet connection, since Core Online will pre-load the game onto your system instead of taking the streaming route.
