BlackBerry Z15 "Milan" Slider Concept Looks Pretty Decent

Back in 2011 there were rumors that BlackBerry was working on a BlackBerry 10 device codenamed "Milan", and according to the leaked render at that time, it was revealed to be a slider device similar to that of the BlackBerry Torch. Come 2012 word on the street was that the project had since been cancelled due to apparent hardware issues, and in 2013 we have not heard about the device, at least until recently where images released by BerryNationhave revealed a device of a certain Z15, the purported Milan device, although we're guessing this is more of a concept rather than an actual leak.

It's tough out there for app makers. With over a million applications available in the Google Play Store (it's true), sometimes you just get lost in the mix. Take Flud, a social news reader that allowed users to follow and share news around the web with others. Flud's founder, designer, and CEO Bobby Ghoshal sent out an email today announcing the shutting down of the application and service which garnered between 50,000 – 100,000 app installs on the Play Store, 5-star reviews from 472 users, and over 2,000 +1′s on Google+.

RAVPower Dynamo-On-the-Go RP-PB07 10,400mAh Power Bank review

. I have a problem.  It's a personal problem, but I can admit it publicly.  I need power.  Lot's of it.  I crave it all day (or, at least my gadgets do), and I have a fear of being without it.  So I have chargers everywhere – my house, my vehicles, my computer bag, my office.  I have reviewed several portable battery gadgets here on The Gadgeteer, and I liked them all because they did what they were supposed to do.  But just 2 years ago, I reviewed one that was a good charger but the capacity was only 1,000 mAh, which couldn't even charge my cellphone one time.

LG Vu 3 Rumored To Be In The Works

LG attempted to beat Samsung at their own game with phablets by releasing the Optimus Vu, an oddly-shaped device. While we did not think it caught on too well, LG decided that it did and promptly released the Optimus Vu II, and now it seems that LG could be considering a successor. Given that Samsung is currently working on the Galaxy Note 3, we guess it wouldn't be a complete shock if LG wanted to steal some of that spotlight for themselves.

Some Japanese Auto Manufacturers Team Up With Government To Offer More Publicly Accessible Chargers For Electric Vehicles

When it comes to electric vehicles, there is one very huge disadvantage that is associated with them – that is, their range, or rather a shortness of it compared to gas-powered rides. Of course, some solutions have been offered up such as the EP Tender that we talked about earlier this morning, but it is still an unsightly addition to the back of your stylish ride.

Android Tablets Command 67% Of Tablet Market, Beats Out The iPad

Apple's iPad has dominated the tablet scene for a long time, and given its construction and familiar operating system and overall ease of use, it is understandable. However with Android manufacturers starting to introduce cheaper and more powerful Android tablets, like the new Nexus 7, it is not surprising that Apple's market share for tablets has been chipped away, and a new report by Strategy Analytics has shown that Android's tablet market share has grown to 67% in the second quarter of 2013, while Apple's market share has fallen to 28%, with Microsoft falling to 4.5%.

Apple's products, whether you love or hate them, are highly desirable and we have heard stories where Apple's retail stores have been robbed. While some robberies are outside jobs, we wouldn't be surprised if some theft occurred internally as well, which is why it isn't surprising to learn that Apple has made it mandatory to check the bags of employees before they go on lunch or end their shift, to make sure that the employees have stolen merchandize or have taken out items without permission, along with contraband.

Diablo 3's Auction House Had A Detrimental Effect, According To Diablo & Diablo 2 Lead Designer

When Blizzard announced the auction house feature in Diablo 3, we guess it would be safe to say that there were at least two sets of gamers - one that did not mind the auction house and actually welcomed it, and the other that felt that this would detract from the fun that comes with grinding levels and farming for hours to land that super-legendary piece of armor or weapon. Unsurprisingly it seems that even within Blizzard, not everyone was a fan of the auction house and Diablo and Diablo 2's lead designer, Stieg Hedlund, felt that it had a detrimental effect on the game.

Google Shopper Bites The Dust

Google Shopper Bites The Dust

Google has shuttered some of its services in the past which the Internet search giant deemed was not performing as expected, or have outlived their usefulness to the masses, with Google Reader's shutdown earlier this month being the most recent high profile "victim". Well, here is another Google service that will bite the dust, although less people will miss it compared to Google Reader. The Google service in question would be the Google Shopper app, and this particular app for the Android as well as iOS platforms will experience a shutdown this coming August 30th.

We recently spotted a stretched version of the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but it sounds like this new ultra-luxurious version of the sedan might not be quite as much of a Maybach-replacing model that we initially expected. Automotive News says that the car has somewhat more modest targets, with the so-called "super S-Class" expected to list in the $200,000 to $250,000 range when it goes on sale in 2014.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is arguably one of the best smartphones currently on the market. And ever since its release not that long ago, it's been sold by Sprint for $199.99 with a two-year contract. Recently the Now Network started offering this superphone on a BOGO deal – you buy one, you get one free (provided of course that you sign a new two-year contract for each device). So in that case you'd effectively pay just around $100 for a Galaxy S4. But that means buying two. What if you only need one Galaxy S4, but don't want to shell out $199.99 to get it?

You're in luck.

Samsung Galaxy Note III, right now, is probably the second most rumored device after the low cost iPhone. The rumors started way back in early 2013, and will continue unabated until the device is launched in early September. The most interesting thing about the bits of info we are getting about Galaxy Note 3, is how contradictory they are. The new Samsung phablet will have 5.99 or 6" screen. Nope, the size is 5.7". It will come with flexible display. No it will not. Hmm, Samsung is still undecided about that. Note III will have Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset. Or Exynos Octa CPU. 13 megapixel camera, 8 megapixel camera...

Thankfully this 2D remake is actually the work of a fan of the game, a certain Luke Brown who is an Australian web developer who has dedicated his free time to recreating Final Fantasy 7 in 2D glory. Brown stated that he does not plan to recreate every scene from the game in 2D, but he hopes that he will at least have the first mission complete in the near future.

Disney Tests Out Aireal Air-Flow Tactile Gaming Technology

When Nintendo first announced that the Nintendo Wii would feature motion control, Sony and Microsoft camps laughed at Nintendo, touting that this is just a gimmick that will die off pretty soon. I guess Nintendo did have the last laugh after all, where they pioneered the way ahead for home consoles to rely on some sort of motion control in the controllers themselves, with Microsoft went one up by introducing the Kinect system which will use your entire physical body as the game controller itself. Well, Disney intends to up the ante where gaming is concerned, by working on an experimental air-flow technology.

Of course, the 6.4 inch Xperia Z Ultra isn't even launched, so maybe it'll run 4.3 out of the box – at least in the markets where it's going to be released starting September (like the UK).

Meanwhile, the Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z will get Android 4.2 first - starting early August.

HTC Zara has specs leaked, it's a One Mini with a bigger but lower-res screen and half the storage

This is the second year in a row in which HTC promises to focus on fewer, but better devices, and really support them and all that – and then promptly fails to deliver. Last year, it was apparently all going to be about just three devices: the One X, One S, and One V. Only then the Taiwanese company flooded the market with many other One variations, and even some Desire-branded smartphones too. This year, the message was once again clear – the One is the one. Oh, and there's also the Butterfly, but that's it. No, really. Yet in the meantime HTC launched a few new Desires, the One Mini, and the One Max is in the pipeline too.

Apparently, there will be three trailers under the name "Hail to the Chief" that will be released later this week. The one above is called the “Animal Protection Act” short, which is actually a follow-up to the “Saints Force One” trailer which rolled out approximately one month back.
