While we have high-speed X-ray cameras that can capture images at up to 4.5 million frames per second, there are folks outside of the scientific community that want to make use of high-speed cameras purposes other than studying molecules. Enter Vision Research's new Phantom v1610 high-speed video camera. The camera is capable of capturing high-speed video at up to 1 million frames per second but as you can imagine, it sacrifices quality for speed - a lot of quality. The video shot at 1 million FPS will be only 128 x 16 pixels in size.
