One good thing about hardware these days is the availability of software updates which prolongs the life of said piece of hardware. After all, instead of literally purchasing a totally new hardware revision, why not enhance the capabilities and functions of existing hardware through the introduction of new algorithms. This is what the $79 Amazon Kindle has received today, where the more affordable e-reader for the masses has just received the 4.1.0 software update which is said to deliver a new reading font that has been touted to be “higher contrast and crisper” for an even more “paper-like reading experience.”.
