If there's one Android-powered tablet that is taking its sweet time getting to the market, it has to be Samsung's Galaxy Tab 8.9. Its bigger brother, the 10.1, has been sold in many markets for a long time now, yet the smaller member of Samsung's 2011 tablet lineup still isn't anywhere to be found. Well, it's about to reach US consumers. The Galaxy Tab 8.9 has been up for pre-order at Best Buy for a couple of weeks now, and while the retailer did publish pricing information, there was no release date to speak of.
Until now. Samsung has officially announced that the Galaxy Tab 8.9 will start shipping to US customers on October 2.
Unwired View, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 will be available in the US on October 2
