The best part about the app is that it is cross platform, and even better is the fact that it's free. Besides letting you text chat, the WhatsApp Windows Mango app lets you exchange audio and video files as well, at absolutely no cost.
Of course, you'll need to have an internet package (preferably, unlimited data plan if you are sharing stuff other than plain text) activated on your phone.
