Introduced by Verizon Wireless back in May, the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play is certainly not among the carrier's flagship smartphones. It is an interesting handset, though, with its PlayStation-styled gaming keypad, and probably that's why Verizon seems to prepare an LTE version of it. According to Android Central, an LTE-capable Xperia Play does exist, and employee training has apparently started yesterday - so Verizon could launch it before the end of the year. It remains to be seen if the LTE Xperia Play comes with other enhancements besides 4G.
