Belarus, a country in Eastern Europe, updates its laws making its citizens forbidden from accessing foreign ecommerce websites. The “Improvements to the Usage of the National Segment of the Internet, law number 317-3,” which goes into effect last week, makes it illegal for Belarusian citizens to conduct ecommerce in sites outside the country's .by domain name. All companies and entrepreneurs in the country are also required to use the national portal for conducting business, providing services, and exchanging email.
