EA on Thursday announced that it sold 900,000 copies of Madden NFL 13 during its first day of availability, representing a franchise record for the current console generation. The latest version of Madden features a revamped physics engine and new career mode options, and has received generally positive reviews from critics who have scored the Xbox 360 version of the game an aggregate 82 out of 100 on Metacritic so far.
