We are live at the Build developers conference in San Francisco, and Microsoft's CEO Steve Ballmer took to the stage in his usual manner, having made an announcement that the world's most popular social network, Facebook, will finally be rolling out an official application to the Windows 8 operating system, although an exact rollout date had yet to be specified, much to the chagrin and frustration of all of us who are there. While there was no concrete release date for an official Windows 8 Facebook app, the developers who were there cobbled together some applause at this announcement.
