HTC is apparently prepping to join Samsung and LG in the battle of the phablets. Notable such phone / tablet hybrids include the Samsung Galaxy Note, LG Optimus Vu, and their upcoming sequels – the Galaxy Note 2 and the Optimus Vu 2, both set to be unveiled this month. HTC's offering in the space will come with a 5-inch touchscreen, but will one-up its competitors by having Full HD 1920×1080 resolution. That would be the first time a smartphone had that resolution on its screen.
